Make a statement with your summer wardrobe.

Danish designer Stine Goya has been breaking barriers with her expressive prints and bold use of colour since she launched her label in 2006. Taking inspiration from strong community values and her favourite artists, Goya has always strived to empower wearers with unique designs that celebrate the joyful moments in everyday life. The brand’s collections are locally rooted, focusing inward on her own community of creatives and celebrating them on a global scale. The house of Goya re-imagines Scandinavian fashion which was once dominated by minimalist designs and muted tones. This is a unique brand ideal for those who love to make a statement.

Goya uses playful experimentation to redefine joy in her summer ‘21 collection. This season she brings us textural quality and a sharp pastel colour palette with plenty of drama and fun. In her hand-painted print ‘The Dancers’ Goya uses block colour techniques which are inspired by the abstract design of fauvism and artists such as Henri Matisse. The print is a celebration of New York ballroom culture and Jennie Livingston’s 1990 documentary film ‘Paris is Burning.’ Goya recreates the expressive quality of ballroom culture by creating dramatic silhouettes that are fluid in movement.

“We want to empower the individuals wearing our clothes. Our design ethos is centred around strong, impassioned ideas and we believe in the power of colour and print. We want to give our customers the opportunity to expressive their true character through timeless, wearable and unique designs.”

This summer Goya uses alternative pattern cutting to create structured designs that are consistent throughout the collection with asymmetrical waistlines and impressive raglan balloon sleeves. The collection also introduces pastel colours and metallic threads woven into hand painted prints. Style these beautiful pieces with Goya’s golden-hue statement jewellery and a pair of heeled boots for a special occasion. The collection also includes some softer silhouettes more suited for everyday wear with the Paloma skirt and River dress in vibrant watercolour florals which pair perfectly with a denim jacket and some lace-up boots or chunky trainers to finish off your look.
