A young brand, established in 2015 in Tuscany, Patrizia Bonfanti follows in her father’s footsteps, Danilo Bonfanti who founded the Dover shoe factory in 1974, which is where Patrizia’s collections are still designed and manufactured. Her designs are forward thinking teamed with the tradition of ensuring “craft values” handed down by her father, Patrizia designs her footwear for everyday women who need to be “chic without too many efforts”. The autumn winter 2021 collection brings us more contemporary designs with some of Patrizia’s same iconic elements such as the inbuilt wedge (as seen in the picture above), this season has been influenced by dawn, that time of the morning that Patrizia says is “absolute poetry” peaceful, calm, and hopeful for the day ahead. The prospect of a new day being the perfect time for a fresh start, to improve on something after a dark night, she notes this can be used as a metaphor for the current 2020 pandemic effecting the economy, to use it as a time to “rebirth fashion and creativity.”
