The British Summer has arrived, and Racing season continues with a good few dates still to look forward to in the calendar. Here at Rio Brazil / Mr Mrs Stitch, we have already started to see the excitement building.
What to wear.
Do have a bit of fun by being bold, definitely wear bright colours, its just about getting the balance right. A trip to the races may involve stepping out of your comfort zone, however once the ice is broken, you will eventually settle into the marvellous atmosphere. Dress to the seasons, go for lightweight materials during summer, leaving the heavier tweeds for the Autumn.
What not to wear.
Don’t wear the same old suit you put on daily for work, you want to make an effort for the occasion, so you need to change it up. Ideally clothing needs to be tailored, or fit correctly & be delicately pressed. No sportswear, fancy dress, trainers, scruffy/dirty shoes, its about looking your very best.
Always do your research on the dress-code well in advance, being smartly dressed won’t be enough, so be organised to avoid disappointment, as exclusive sections like the royal enclosure at Ascot etc have a strict policy, other areas/events will vary. Check the weather forecast, you may need an umbrella!
The little details make all the difference, so getting your shirt, tie & pocket square combo working in sync could set you out from the crowd. Additional things like hats, sunglasses, waistcoats, or even a pocket watch/chain can also add to your outfit. Don’t be afraid to play around with a few ideas, but at the same time know what works for you and what doesn’t, as you don’t want to overcomplicate your look if it’s unnecessary.
Whether its a suit, blazer, formal trouser, chino, waistcoat, shirting, tie, pocket square, or shoe, we will have the ability to put together something for everybody. Our variety of options give customers the versatility of mix & matching for many different occasions.
All styles are available in store exclusively at Rio Brazil Victoria Square, Belfast, Northern Ireland, before being featured online at https://www.mrandmrsstitch.com. Call in today to get first pick.
Enjoy
